WHAT IS REGENERATIVE MEDICINE?
Regenerative Medicine also known as Stem Cell Therapy is the use of a combination of cells, material methods, and suitable biochemical and chemical factors to improve or replace biological functions. Key functions include repairing or replacing tissues (e.g. bone, cartilage, blood vessels and skin).
ARE YOUR DOCTORS BOARD CERTIFIED?
Yes. We put emphasis in having an outstanding board-certified staff which is critical in providing our patients with the highest level of confidence from the initial consultation until the follow up post-procedure.
WHY DOES THE THREE ASPENS REGENERATIVE MEDICINE TAKE A MULTI-MODALITY TREATMENT APPROACH TO REGENERATIVE MEDICINE?
We understand the unique needs of each individual patient, each with varying degrees of severity, and therefore require a wide range of treatment modalities to properly address them. We spend the necessary time to properly identify and diagnose conditions up front and match them with a proper procedure. We offer several different procedure options such as Stem Cell Treatment, Amniotic Placental Tissue Allograft Injections, Osteopathic Manipulation, Hormone Therapy, PRP Therapy, and Stem Cell Banking.
WHAT IS PLATELET RICH PLASMA (PRP)?
Recently there have been more and more news of high profile athletes such as Tiger Woods, Stephen Curry, Peyton Manning and Rafael Nadal who were treated with PRP.
PRP Therapy is a safe non-surgical procedure that utilizes platelets from one’s own blood to rebuild and heal damaged tissues in the body. Once injected, the platelets set to work with regenerative activity that rebuilds the affected area, leading to tissue repair and pain relief.
ARE STEM CELL THERAPIES SAFE?
Yes. In Stem Cell Therapy we are using what your body produces. Your own tissue and blood are utilized to help you heal yourself. We remove targeted elements, apply very specific separation processes to concentrate key components, then reinsert in the areas that need it most.
It is important that this therapy is conducted by a well trained and board certified doctor.
WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME FROM THIS PROCEDURE?
Typically, within 3-5 days after the procedure, our patients can return to work and resume their normal daily activities. However we always advise our patients to avoid stressful activities or strenuous exercises for six weeks. Returning to stressful activity before six weeks of complete healing time may result in delay or incomplete healing of the treated tissue.
CAN THE PROCEDURE FAIL?
As with any procedure, it is impossible to guarantee 100% success. Due to any number of circumstances, it is possible that a patient may require additional treatments. Also, in rare cases, a patient’s tissue may not embody enough repair potential relative to effectively impact a severe condition.
